School Kit Distribution

Dear Friends,

Thank for your enthusiastic support last 1 ½ month in donation collection and kitting of school kits. Now there is more exciting activity i.e. kit distribution. We need to give these school bags to those needy students. Various NGO’s and schools have shared their kit distribution program with us. We earnestly request you and encourage you to take active part in this activity too and see how your donation has been channelized.

Urgent & Important : Last School Kit Assembly & final Distribution

Dear Friends,

Over the last 6 weekends, quite a few volunteers have been coming together to take the initiative of the school kit drive forward. Our attempt as always remained to provide new school kits to maximum school kids before the first day of the school. As many of you know, the schools re-open on 13th June.

We would like to send this urgent appeal to you and your friends to participate in the school kit assembly and distribution on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of June, starting 10:00 AM at Balshikshan School, Mayur Colony, Kothrud, Pune.

After all the laborious work that we have put in the last 6 weekends, it is the time to see the smiles on the faces of kids as they receive the school kits. Ask any volunteer who has participated in the distribution over the last few years, and he would tell you that distribution of school kits is the most touching experience. Do come in with your family and friends.

We are in need of lot more volunteers than the previous weekends, so please consider this as a very special appeal to you to come over and participate.

School Kit - Last Assembly + Distribution Launch

Dear Seva Sahayogi

Thanks for your continuing support for School Kit assembly activity. We are now ready for distributing them to students through various NGOs.

The last school kit assembly activity will be held on 5th June. The school kits will be handed over to many NGOs (and students) on the same day. The CSR heads, top executives of corporates who have actively supported this drive along with all the NGO’s who would be benefited by this drive are also invited to attend the last assembly activity and distribution of kits. You can also contribute towards the distribution activity by helping in transportation

The kitting activity would start at 9:00 AM as usual at Balshikshan Mandir, Mayur Colony, Kothrud, Pune. The agenda of distribution activity would be shared at the venue.

Come along with your family and friends and join us in the journey to "experience the joy of giving".

School Kit Assembly - 15th May

Dear Seva Sahayogi,

Last week, we had around 125+ volunteers working to assemble 3600+ school kits.

We also got a pleasant surprise when a group of students who were the recipients of the school kit drive last year came in and wanted to help in the assembly.

This week, from the buzz that we have seen, we are going to have 10 volunteers coming in from Mumbai specially to help into the assembly.

The next School Kit Assembly session is going to be held on Sunday 15th May, at 9:30 AM at the same venue as last week. Attached below is the email from last week to give the location details.

Aarogyadoot (Ambulance)

Dear SevaSahayogi,

Of the various initiatives of Seva Sahayog, ‘HNI Connect‘, an initiative to connect with the High Net Worth Individuals, is a prominent one.

This year Seva Sahayog had identified ‘Arogyadoot’, an Ambulance service for rural areas, as a theme in the public health arena. We had taken up a challenge to channelise the finance required for the Ambulance Service to needy NGOs working exclusively in distant villages.

Team Seva Sahayog is elated to share that we have successfully facilitated the donation of UV Patel Foundation for an Ambulance to Parashuram Hospital run by MES College located at Chipalun,
The ambulance is ready and will be operational from May 2011. It will cater to needy patients in and around the villages in Chipalun.

This is the second Arogyadoot (Ambulance) handed over to an NGO by us in the last 3 years.

A formal function to commemorate this handover will be held on May 11, 2011 at Chipalun.

Seva Darshan : Come, Let's visit a NGO

February/March is the time when we take a look at what we have done in the previous year, and what do we need to do for the next year. At Seva Sahayog, we take this as an opportunity to visit the NGOs that we have been associated with, and gather inputs from them.

When we visit the NGOs, we do get first hand information about the challenging situations that they face. Realization of the challenges faced is one step closer to solving them. We also get feedback on some of our other initiatives like the school kit, or seva fair.

Typically, the Seva Darshan is a half day affair, with a small group (3-6) of people going to a particular NGO in and around Pune over a weekend. In case you are interested to join in, please call the contact persons mentioned below,
